After welcoming their second son, this young family left Sydney apartment living behind for a Brisbane home with a garden and pool. Arriving with little more than their kids’ beds, they engaged me to furnish and create a home from scratch.

Balancing work and family life was key: we designed a shared home office that doubles as a study space for the boys, a vibrant and playful family room, and a colourful parents’ retreat that offers a much needed escape from busy routines. With frequent interstate visitors, a whimsical guest room was also designed to feel comfortable, feminine and thoughtful, all within budget.

This first stage brings together classic and contemporary pieces, bespoke furnishings, and joyful designer fabrics, layered with a curated selection of art and a new family photo gallery wall. The result is a colourful, personality-filled home that celebrates family life, with more exciting spaces still to come.
